65 insurgents were killed in different parts of the country  

Kabul, Afghanistan:  In the past 24 hours, , Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 9 clearing operations and carried out 101 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 75 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 21 airstrike on enemies’ positions. As a result, 65 insurgents were killed, 29 were wounded and 2 ISIS affiliates were arrested.

These operations were conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces and with the support of Air forces in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Kapisa, Zabul, Farah, Faryab and Helmand provinces.

In these operations, 35 insurgents were killed, 17 were wounded and a vehicle loaded with explosives destroyed in Dehyak, Gero and Andar districts of Ghazni. 11 insurgents were killed and 5 others were wounded in Tagab district of Kapisa. 6 insurgents were killed in Balablok district of Farah. 5 insurgents were killed and a motorcycle was destroyed in Nahre-Saraj and Garmser district of Helmand.

Similarly, 4 insurgents were killed in Shemlzai district of Zabul. 3 insurgents were killed and 5 others were wounded in Khakrez district of Kandahar. An insurgent was killed and 2 others were wounded in Qaisar district of Faryab. 2 ISIS affiliates were arrested in Rodat district of Nangarhar.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
