121 insurgents killed in different parts of the country

Kabul, Afghanistan:  Afghan National Defense and Security forces launched 9 clearing operations and 89 Special Forces’ operations in different parts of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours. Afghan Air Forces, also, conducted 131 freights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 9 airstrikes on enemies’ sanctuaries.   As a result, 121 insurgents including 10 ISIS fighters were killed, 70 were wounded and 7 suspects were arrested.

During these operations in the past 24 hours , Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces in Nangarhar , Kunar , Ghazni , Oruzgan , Zabul , Herat , Farah , Ghor , Badghis , Faryab , Balkh and Baghlan provinces.

Enemies suffered heavy causalities in these operations. 56 Taliban terrorists were killed, 17 were wounded, vehicles and some round of weapons and ammunition destroyed in Moqor district and Ghazni capital. 22 insurgents were killed, 17 were wounded, 7 suspects were arrested and some rounds of weapon and ammunition destroyed in Chamtal and Chaharbolak districts of Balkh. 12 insurgents were killed, 7 were wounded and 10 motorbikes were destroyed in Almar district of Faryab. 10 ISIS affiliates were killed and 7 other were wounded in Achin and Khogyani districts of Nangarhar. 10 insurgents were killed and 15 other were wounded in Khakriz district of Kandahar.

Similarly, 6 insurgents were killed, 4 others including Taliban deputy shadow district governor wounded and 2 motorbikes were destroyed in Dahana Ghori district of Baghlan. 3 insurgents were killed, 1 was killed and 4 motorbikes were destroyed in Shahrak and Dolina districts of Ghor. 1 insurgent was killed, 2 were wounded, a vehicle and 2 motorbikes destroyed in Balablok district of Farah. 1 insurgent was killed and 1 other was wounded in Chesht Sharf district of Herat.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
