90 insurgents were killed

Kabul, Afghanistan:  Afghan National Defense and Security forces launched 14 clearing operations, 46 Special Forces’ operations in different parts of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours. Afghan Air Forces, also, conducted 91 freights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 20 airstrikes on enemies’ sanctuaries.   As a result, 90 insurgents were killed, 80 were wounded and five other were arrested.

During these operations in the past 24 hours , Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces in Nangarhar , Kunar , Ghazni , Maidan Wardak , Logar , Kandahar , Zabul , Balkh , Faryab , Samangan , Baghlan and Helmand provinces.

Enemies suffered heavy causalities in these operations. 47 insurgents were killed, 38 were wounded and three other were arrested in Batikot and Khogyani districts of Nangarhar. 14 insurgents were killed and nine other were wounded in Arghandab district of Zabul. Ten insurgents were killed and 11 other were wounded in Aaband, Andar districts and Ghazni capital. Eight insurgents were killed, 11 were wounded and two other were arrested in Roydoab district of Samangan.

Similarly, seven insurgents were killed and four other were wounded in Greshk district of Helmand. Three insurgents were killed and seven other were wounded in Sayed Abad district of Maidan Wardak. One insurgent was killed in Logar capital.

Afghan National Army as the nation’s defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
